This workshop will incorporate a very good Stretching programme and Foundation Strength programme for all players age 13 upwards and it is target at U14-Senior Club Coaches plus for all codes (Hurling, Football, Ladies football & Camogie).

“Hurling Workshop: Games for Indoors”
Dominic McKinley will deliver a workshop on how to tackle "small indoor halls". He will give a demonstration on a number of games that can be played in indoor halls that are both fun and interactive for all. He will also give a handout on the night of all the games.

“Fitness Testing”
Antrim Coaching staff will be conducting fitness tests with the U14 hurling squad. Club coaches are very welcome to come along to observe the tests conducted, how they are conducted and how we mark the players. Fitness testing Templates, marking sheets and analysis files will be make available to all attending coaches.

Antrim Coaching staff will be delivering at S&C session after the fitness testing sessions in both Rathmore and St. Louis for the U14 Hurling Development Squad. Club coaches are very welcome to come along to observe the session and we will give out the programmes to all attending coaches.

“Functional Movement Screening”
Antrim Coaching staff will be conducting functional movement screening with the U14 hurling squad. Club coaches are very welcome to come along to observe the tests conducted, how they are conducted and how we mark the players. FMS information booklet and marking sheets will be make available to all attending coaches. FMS is a grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS identifies functional limitations necessary for Gaelic football or hurling and everyday life. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress.
