Title: Fitness Testing Made Easy;
Venue: Sports Insititute of Northern Ireland @ Jordanstown (Track & Throws Area);
Date: Wednesday 3rd November;
Time: 8pm - 9.30pm;

Summary: As our games get ever more competitive, most, if not all coaches, look to gain any edge possible over the opposition. For most coaches this starts with fitness testing. The fitness testing market has grown in the recent past, with some very expensive options available for testing GAA teams. However, fitness testing does not necessitate an expensive outlay on behalf of the club. There are numerous simple, effective and inexpensive methods to fitness test club teams.
This session will review basic principles of fitness testing, designing a fitness testing session, demonstration of basic tests, practicalities of testing & equipment required, compilation, feedback and application of results.

Target Audience: This session is open to all active club and/or county coaches, regardless of level, code and/or age group. This particular session is open specifically to coaches from Antrim, Down, Derry and Armagh. Further sessions will be going ahead in Tyrone and Cavan over the following weeks.

What to Do: This course is provided by Ulster GAA and is free of charge. In order to get a better idea of numbers attending it would be appreciated if you could reply by email to kevin.mcguigan.ulster@gaa.ie or by telephone to 07760779590 (text of phone call) to register your interest.
