Lamh Dhearg 7's

Well done to the lads who represented the Club at the Lamh Dhearg 7's
tournament on Saturday 19th June 2010. We lost in the final to
Clonduff 1 nil on penalties. The sides couldnt be separated after what
was a very exciting end to end final. Creggan were 4 up at the break aided
by a strong breeze. Clonduff (current All Ireland 7's champs) scored 2
second half goals inspired by their ever wandering goalkeeper.
In the big Penalty Shoot out Leigh, Ricky and David failed to hit the
net. Peter Graham saving well with one penalty.
Creggan played 2 group matches beating Lamh Dheargs very impressive,
very ambitious minor team. Only our strength and experience got us
through this game. We then beat St Galls in a tight encounter to
qualify for the semi final. We beat Ardoyne with a few points to spare
in the semi.
A big Thank you to the 10 players who all done really well. Peter
Graham, Fergal McGrenaghan, Oistin McAteer, Oliver Duffin, Peter
McCollum, David McGuckin, Leigh Martin, Sam Maguire, Niall Darragh,
Ricky Johnston.
