ACFL Div. 4
21 March 2010

Rasharkin 0-14
Kickhams Creggan 3-10

Creggan secured back to back away league wins with a victory against Rasharkin on Sunday.
If you score goals, then the chances are that you'll win games and this is how it turned out agaist St. Mary's.

Executioner-in-Chief was Damian McLarnon who rifled in two top corner screamers in the first half to give Kickhams a healthy half time lead. Also on the score board in the opening period was Eunan McAteer 3 points, Dan Maguire 2 points and the rest shared between Charlie Devlin and Ciaran McCartney.

Creggan played some decent stuff in the first 30 minutes, with the breeze and down the hill and went in at the break seven points up.

Half Time - Rasharkin 0-07, Kickhams Creggan 2-08

Creggan got off to a great second half start as they won the throw in and went straight up the pitch with Seamus Allen finishing a flowing move by sending to the net. After this though it was mainly one way traffic towards the Creggan goals as Rasharkin endeavoured to salvage something from the game.

In fairness it's not easy playing up the hill at Rasharkin so for Creggan to defend stoutly and claim a few more scores was down to hard work and perserverance. Mention must go to Leon in nets who pulled of a great save to preserve his clean sheet when Rasharkin were certainly making serious inroads in to the lead.

The final whistle was welcomed and the reserves will have thier first outing at home in the leagu on Sunday 28th against newly promoted O'Donnells.
