Our second league game following our narrow defeat to Cargin on the 6th April nearly 4 weeks ago against a Moneyglass team who had nothing on their minds only an away win.. They started very brightly and were attacking us at every giving opportunity. They led by a point in the early stages and could have been further ahead only for poor shooting in front of goal. After getting to grips with their early pace we started to get together some great moves but like Moneyglass we found it difficult to turn these to scores. Scores from Mark Dougan 0,3(2frees), Oliver Duffin, Hugh McKay and a Sam Maguire goal give us a interval lead of 4 points.

HALF TIME SCORE – 1-05 to 0-04

2nd Half Moneyglass started the brighter. They scored two quick points. We responded with 3 consecutive points from Mark, Adrian and Hugh McKay which put 5 points in it. Moneyglass refused to give up and scored 3 points themselves. This left for a nervy finish. A Mark Dougan free put a goal between the sides again before a late point for Moneyglass left 2 points in the game at the end.

A good result for us. Game was played in tricky conditions with the swirling wind and constant drizzle. Our 1st league game of the season at home and a victory so well done lads. Lets keep it going.
