Creggan Senior hurlers had a good win over St. Brigids on Wednesday evening. The lads turned in a good team performance despite the fact that there were a number of players unavailable for selection for various reasons.
This victory gave the hurlers two wins on the bounce after their impressive win away to Larne last Sunday to move in to the finishing stages of the league on a winning run.
Scorers for the home side were Stevie Colgan 0-05, Paul McCann 1-01, Cathal Shannon 0-03, Nigel Robb 0-02, Sam Maguire 0-02 and Michael Maguire 0-01.
It was good to see Nigel Robb back on the score sheet as his points return has been poor all season for a number 12. Young Robb recorded two scores in this game but by all accounts they were intended to be two balls in to the inside forward line that went a bit skew whiff…..just reporting what was being muttered along the line…
The hurlers next match is not until 20th September where they will entertain Davitts at Paírc í Ciceam.
