Letter from the Ulster Ladies Gaelic Football Association
Tuesday, September 3, 2019
A few months ago our G4M&Os team played host to teams, players, officials and many more from all around Ulster as part of the annual Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others Ulster provincial blitz.
The day couldn't have went any better overall, 12 teams played in blistering heat and everyone really enjoyed the fun and games from the group warm up right through to the prepared food after everything was over.
Ciaran Murtagh, the Ulster Ladies Games Development Officer was very complementary of the entire day and preparation to make it one of the best blitz days everyone had for a long time. He sent us this letter and really thanked everyone for their hard work making sure it ran off smoothly.
"A Chara,
I am writing to the Creggan Kickhmas GFM&O and the whole club in general to thank you for hosting the Ulster Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others Blitz on Saturday 6 July 2019.
A massive thank you to Sinead and her team of helpers on the day. The warm up activity at the start and the general welcome that all clubs got was fantastic. All volunteers know their role and it was recognised by all visiting clubs and members of Ulster Ladies Executive. Your club is the benchmark for other clubs across Ulster in how an event like this should be held.
We at Ulster Ladies thank you for hosting on the day and it was so well organised and received by all clubs. Hopefully we will work together again in the not too distant future.
Please keep promoting all our games especially Ladies Football and your ladies in your club should be commended and recognised for all the fantastic work they put into promoting our game.
A massive thank you again and best wishes for the rest of 2019 both on and off the field.
Many Thanks
Ciaran Murtagh"
