Big turnout for Cranfield information night
Monday, June 4, 2018
There was a big turnout for the presentation by Dr Siobhan McDermot from Queens University outlining work she has carried out with Lough Neagh Partnership and Creggan Local Heritage Group. One of the results from the ground radar survey carried out at Cranfield Church suggests there may have been a monastic site which was older and larger than the present one. (The present Church dates from the 1200's) It was also revealed that Queens have developed a story board about Cranfield including a digital data base of the graves and their inscriptions. This will be available on the Creggan Local Heritaage site soon.
