Sean raises £10,274 for Meningitis Research Foundation
Wednesday, February 21, 2018
A few months ago we followed Sean McAuley on his huge challenge walking 1000km of the Camino Trail in 40 days for Meningitis Research Foundation 🚶👣
Thanks to your kind donations and messages of support from communities near and far. Sean was able to battle through extreme weather conditions and fatigue to reach the Cathedral of Santiago De Compostela on the 40th day. He made it look easy but rest assure it was by no means a walk in the park.
Yesterday Sean travelled to the Meningitis Research Foundation office to present a cheque for all the donated money and funds from his Just Giving page. We can confirm that Sean raised a total of 🎊💪 £10,274 🎉👏 which was made up of £9168 of donations and £1106 worth of gift aid.
Thanks to everyone that donated and went out of their way to post messages and share Seans story both online and by word of mouth to family and friends. The money raised will go a long way in helping researchers work to eradicate the disease of meningitis.
Everyone at Kickhams Creggan would like to say a massive congratulations to Sean and his family 👏
