St. Paul's 4-13

Once again the score line does not reflect the closeness of the match at Creggan on Sunday afternoon. Creggan got off to a flying start with their first two points coming from Eimear Kelly and Kelly Mulholland in the first minutes of the game. Unfortunately, St. Paul's answered these with two quick goals. Creggan regrouped themselves and the teams were evenly matched during open play. St. Paul's scrambled a third goal near the end of the first half, leaving the score at the break St.Paul's 3-6, Creggan 0-6.

St. Paul's started the second half with 3 points but some great support play from the Creggan forwards resulted in a great goal from Eimear Kelly. The Creggan backs showed great teamwork and Orla Liddy pulled off some great saves in goal. Creggan were controlling that area of the pitch until St. Paul's were awarded a penalty. Again, great support play in the forwards resulted in another goal and point for Creggan, but unfortunatley these just came too late in the game.
