Hurl with Me Programme

On Sunday 26th of June the Hurl With Me programme came to an end with a national blitz day in Abbotstown, Dublin in the National GAA Training Centre. Creggan were placed in group 2 against  Brocagh (Tyrone), Wolfe Tones (Clare) and Knockaderry (Limerick).  Leading the way the parents took to the pitch first where they got stuck in and put the newly learned skills to the test while the young camogs cheered them on from the sidelines. After the half was over the girls were heard giving words of support and encouragement to their parents for a job well done plus some advice for the  next game!!!

 

A changeover in the second half saw the young camogs then take to the field where they were determined to shine just as much as their parents did in the first half.  Battling hard, the young camogs displayed great skill and were cheered on by their proud parents.  A great day was had by all involved and over this past few weeks in the training sessions leading up to the blitz.  Thank you to those parents who were able take part over this past few weeks and today at the blitz and especially to our tutor Eoghan Gribben for providing the sessions within the programme.
