GUMSHIELD RULE 6.2

It has come to the notice of the Referee`s committee that a number of Referees are getting abuse when applying the rule about wearing a Gumshield Rule 6.2.
To fail to comply with a referee`s instruction to use a mouth guard Penalty Caution the offender; order off if he continues to refuse. The referee has every right to book a player for not following this rule.It is for the safety of the player and is no good down his socks or in the changing room. Please inform all player`s and management teams that referees are looking out for this and will issue cards when noticed.
