Minor Camogie Championship – Round 2

Monday, April 25, 2016

Round 2 of the round robin minor camogie championship saw Creggan travel to Cushendall.

Just like the first round match against Loughgiel, Creggan found the opposition too strong.

However, just as in the Loughgiel game, there were passages of play where the Loughshore girls showed superb movement to match their opponents.

Captain marvellous, Caoimhe McAteer at midfield, ran herself into the ground.

Alisha McAuley and Una McKeown were towers of strength at centre half back and full back respectively.

Susan McIlwee put in a great shift tapping over 4 points.

Mya Quinn breached the Cushendall defence to grab a goal, while Martine McCann and Maria Carey chipped in with points apiece.

The final game in the round robin, before grading takes place, sees Creggan take on Dunloy.

After this, it gets down to the business end of things, when the semi-finals of both the A & B completions will take place.
