Creggan secured their passage in to the final of the Abbey Cup with a great victory over Clooney Gaels in Toome on Saturday evening. The men from Ahoghill would have started favourites but they certainly didn’t get it their own way with the men in Green & Gold contesting every ball all over the pitch all game. Some great scores were taken throughout the match and there were a number of goal line schmozzles which caused a few flutters along the way just to add to the entertainment.
It would be unfair to pick out anybody in particular as man of the match as all 15 starters and the subs that were introduced played their part in this victory. They can all take pride in their performances, and now look forward to a final appearance against the winners of Rasharkin and St. Endas who contest the other semi final.
